The DigiEcoQuarry team visited the #Valdilecha quarry, just a 20-minute drive from Madrid’s city center where Asociación Nacional de Empresarios Fabricantes de Áridos – ANEFA ’s headquarters, the leader of the project, is located.

During the visit, we interviewed some of the members of the team so you can get deeper into the project and their tasks. Today is the turn for Leire Martiarena Gonzalez from Zabala Innovation Spain, consultant in R+D+ i management and expert in social acceptance.

Valdilecha, property of Heidelberg Materials Hispania is the reference pilot for drilling and blasting.

DigiEcoQuarry aims to design, develop, and validate in five pilot environments an Innovative Quarrying System (IQS) comprising sensors, processes, tools, and methods for data capture, processing, and sharing to provide integrated digitalized, automatic, and real-time process control for aggregates quarries.
