We have a new video!
The DigiEcoQuarry team never loses an opportunity to put on our hard hats and security boots and go to a quarry. We like the smell of aggregates and the sound of drilling every morning. We did not care about the ruthless wind forecast, we grabbed a bus and went to visit the Valdilecha quarry, just a 20-minute drive from Madrid’s city center where ANEFA ’s headquarters, the leader of the project, is located.
Valdilecha, property of Hanson Hispania (part of Heidelberg Cement Group) is the reference pilot for drilling and blasting.
DigiEcoQuarry aims to design, develop, and validate in 5 pilot environments an Innovative Quarrying System (IQS) comprising sensors, processes, tools and methods for data capture, processing and sharing to provide integrated digitalized, automatic, and real-time process control for aggregates quarries.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement Nº 101003750.
