DIRECCIÓN GENERAL DE ENERGÍA, MINERÍA y REACTIVACIÓN DEL PRINCIPADO DE ASTURIAS – DGASTUR
The General Directorate for Energy, Mining and After coal development is responsible for directing, coordinating, supervising and promoting the powers of the Autonomous Community of The Principality of Asturias in matters of planning, promoting, organising and controlling regional mining and energy, as well as promoting the development activities of these sectors.
The Mining Promotion, Development and Security Service is responsible for the functions of the General Directorate for Energy, Mining and Reactivation in matters of management, promotion, development and promotion of mining activity, both in terms of research and use and exploitation of mineral deposits and other geological and hydrogeological resources, including hydrocarbon research permits. In terms of membership and clustering, it is member of Mining Safety Commission of the Principality of Asturias, Mining Safety Commission of the Kingdom of Spain and Mining Coordination Group of Spanish Regions, as well as Vice presidency of The Central Mining Rescue Brigade.
It is also in charge of safety and health functions in mining operations, administrative inspection and sanctioning for mining activities, including the control and issuance of aptitude certifications for mining professions and the coordination of mining training and safety programs.
It also corresponds, within the scope of the Ministry (of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion of the Principality of Asturias), the monitoring of public instruments of promotion in the field of mining research and safety, which is directly connected with this proposal.
